This set was made at the time when Spalding owned the Ben Hogan company and this specific 1999 had the forging dies laser cut by Endo Manufacturing Nigata, Japan- so, probably one of the absolute best and precise blade irons ever made.
This was so important to the owners of The Ben Hogan Company to make the absolute best Forged Iron commemorating Mr. Hogan who had passed away the year before in 1998.
A terrible loss to the golfing world - The Legend went on to play with the good Lord.
